Capita Mobile Solutions wins Rhondda Cynon Taf contract

Capita Mobile Solutions, a Capita Software Services business, today announced that it has won a contract to supply Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council's (CBC) Revenues and Benefits department with a mobile working solution. The contract is for the provision of the Streetwise Revenues and Benefits modules, and is planned to go live in August 2006.

The Streetwise solution includes the provision of a Benefit Verification Framework and Interventions module, as well as Council Tax and NDR inspections modules, which will provide Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC's remote staff with an easy-to-use device to update information electronically when on site - for example at a citizen's home. The core 'back office' Revenues & Benefits management systems will be seamlessly updated over a secure, wireless connection, removing the need for the remote worker to return to the office. This will result in an increasingly efficient service delivery, which will benefit both the employees and the citizens of Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC.

Councillor Eudine Hanagan, Cabinet Member for Better Public Services and Transport at Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC, said: "We are constantly reviewing our processes in order to maintain and improve service delivery to our residents. We are already implementing Capita Mobile Solution's Housing Repairs and Inspections module and are confident that this additional software will help us save even more time and meet our aim of increasing productivity and accuracy of information."
