Capita Software Services wins Plymouth City Council contract

Capita Software Services today announced that it has won a contract to provide revenue & benefits software for Plymouth City Council. The contract, which was secured following a competitive procurement process, is valued at £400,000 over a five year period. Residents will benefit from a faster and more proficient Council Tax and benefits service, allowing them to view their own records and in certain instances, provide information online to the Authority. The new software will also help provide the Council with greater efficiency of internal processes.

Barbara Culverhouse, Head of Revenues and Benefits at Plymouth City Council said: "We are constantly reviewing our processes in order to identify areas where we can improve the service delivery to our customers. We are confident that Capita Software Services will help us meet our aim of achieving a greater level of modernisation, with closer integration between our revenues and benefits operations, as well as provide a significant improvement in the quality of management reporting."

Council employees will receive full system training support from a technological as well as a business process perspective. All employees will have access to Skillwise, Capita's online training package, designed to provide best practice procedures and management reports supporting the Council's need to demonstrate noticeable service level improvements.
